About Sheets & Sums

We make spreadsheets and small free tools for people who sell what they make: on Etsy, at craft fairs and markets, and in their own shops.

Plenty of makers know their craft inside out but aren't sure what a sale actually leaves them once Etsy's fees, materials, packaging and their own hours are counted. Our files answer that one question as plainly as we can, for one craft at a time.

What we make

Pricing calculators for candles, soap, jewelry, resin art, crochet and knitting, home baking, and stickers and prints: cost per item from your own materials, then wholesale and retail prices.
An Etsy fee calculator for sellers in 15 countries, and a bookkeeping and profit tracker for the year (plus a German version for Kleinunternehmer).

How we work

One price, no subscription. You buy a file once and it's yours. It works in Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers and LibreOffice, with no account and no add-ons.
We check the numbers against the source. Etsy's fees come from Etsy's own help pages for each seller country, and German thresholds from the official German law texts. Files with fees or thresholds say when they were last checked, and we re-check the sources every week.
Updates are free. When a fee or a threshold changes, the updated file is on your download page, with the same license key.
Built to be filled in, not learned. Yellow cells are for you; everything else calculates. Every file opens on a Start Here tab next to a filled-in example.
Your numbers stay yours. The files and the Market Day app keep your data on your own device. This website asks before it uses Google Analytics, and you can change that under Cookie settings.

What we don't do

Our files help you calculate and keep track. They aren't tax or legal advice, and your accountant or local tax office has the final word on what you owe. We're also not connected to Etsy: Etsy is a trademark of Etsy, Inc.
