Questions

What should I bring to my first craft fair?

Your stock (more than you expect to sell of your best sellers), a table and tablecloth, something to add height to your display, clear price signs, a sign with your shop name, a cash float in small change, a charged card reader, bags, and water, snacks and warm layers for yourself. The checklist above has the full list.

How much cash float do I need for a craft fair?

Enough small notes and coins to give change for your most common prices for the first few customers. Write down exactly how much you start with, so you can check the tin against your sales at the end. Market Day does that sum for you.

How do I know if a craft fair is worth it?

Work out how many items you need to sell to cover the booth fee, travel and card fees, and compare it with what you realistically expect to sell. Our free craft fair calculator does the maths and also shows what you earn per hour.
